Welcome.
Whenever I research someone online, I’m interested in their professional background, but I am usually as curious about who they are and what brings them to their work, so I thought I’d share a little bit about me.
I am a swimmer. I swim nearly every day at my local community center. My vacations are usually near lakes, rivers, or the ocean. Being in the water clears my mind and grounds me. I marvel at the many dimensions of water…its movement, stillness, and depth.
For me, water serves as a metaphor for my own journey, with cycles of continuous learning and growth. On my journey I strive to look more deeply inward. I have also learned to find clarity about what is important, build capacity to navigate rough waters, and be open to the mysteries of what might unfold. This is the space I work from, supporting people to better understand themselves and bring their very best forward.
“As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same”
I am serious about my work but try not to take myself too seriously! It is important to have a good work-life balance. Portland, Oregon has been my home for nearly three decades, and it is here that my wife and I raised two wonderful sons. I love the Pacific Northwest and when I’m not in the water, I enjoy hiking, cross-county skiing, gardening, and cooking. I am also a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen.
I am grateful for my family, friends, teachers, colleagues, mentors, coaches, and all those who have supported me on my journey. I am excited to offer guidance and support to my clients.
